ACCREDITATION

Accreditation, Licensing and Associations

Accreditation is an optional educational management action by the US University Institution, but not practiced in the educational management of most other countries, including Portuguese-speaking ones. Accreditation is the validation of a university’s teaching program by an agency authorized to provide an academic assessment of the institution’s diploma award process. It is generally not practiced in countries outside the United States. Ministries of education in different countries regulate their own colleges and universities.

In the United States, there are regional accreditation associations, as well as selected private organizations, that accredit specific areas (for example, business and nursing).

What most students do not know is that the United States government does not control or regulate colleges, universities or accrediting associations, except in relation to the refund of fees for students who qualify for these funds.

American Universities are autonomous bodies that are subject to their own statutory rules and their American State of Origin. Even so, universities that enjoy a certain prestige in the United States of America have the accreditation of a university accreditation association.

Our University was responsible for winning important educational awards, which demonstrates the accreditation that the American Government, State Governments and Private Organizations have with regard to Uniforms.

Importance of Accreditation

Accreditation status can give an indication of a university’s overall quality and reputation.
• You are guaranteed a basic level of quality in education and services.
• Credits are more likely to be transferable to other accredited institutions.
• Your degree is more likely to be recognized and respected by other colleges and employers.

The Florida Assembly of God University ® is accredited by LACUN – League of American Christian Universities. The university gained Premier status with LACUN for its commendable areas of operation. LACUN accreditation helps students and parents make a more informed choice and will also help a school, college, university, training provider or distance education provider to demonstrate to the international student body that they are a high quality institution.

Our fundamental principles are based on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights; by article 26, the Florida Assembly of God University believes that higher education is a human right. The University implemented an educational model of paradigm shift for its academic programs that allowed it to achieve this goal through self-empowerment of its students, decentralization of the learning process, personalized open curriculum design, modern sustainable learning, developing o 11 central elements of the Human Condition of our programs and the use of almost infinite knowledge through the use of information technology combined with our own ability to find solutions to all types of global issues, dynamic problems and those of multidisciplinary individuals and teams. Due to these differentiations and the university’s mission, only a reputable accreditation agency, with the vision and plasticity to integrate and adapt its processes around the proven and successful innovative programs of the Florida Assembly of God Univesity, could be selected. Unfortunately, the vast majority of accreditation agencies adhere to and follow obsolete processes and requirements that have lost their usefulness and are in direct conflict with the university’s mission of offering a unique, dynamic, accessible and quality higher education to the non-traditional student who must work, study what he really needs for professional advancement, attend to family issues, etc.).
